During the last two years of COVID-induced product availability issues, we have learned quite a bit about paint companies, their processes, infrastructure, and overall accountability to their brands and retailers. Our paint specialists have had a challenging time trying to keep paint stock acceptable for our customers.
Through a ton of research, we have found that Rodda has an excellent track record of maintaining its stock throughout the paint shortages.
Although there were still a few things harder to source, for the most part, they have reliable supply in everything our customers need. We believe this is a long-term solution not only to the availability issues but even more important is we believe the quality of the paint through Rodda to be superior to other brands we have replaced.
Rodda has been manufactured locally in the PNW (Portland, OR & Surrey, B.C.) since 1932, making product reliable with quick delivery while supporting a local, made-in-the-USA brand.
Consistent and fair pricing from Rodda has also allowed us to keep prices closer to the level of quality we feel is acceptable. Many paint suppliers have had very significant price increases that have put them in a price bracket we didn’t feel reflected the quality of the product.
Rodda is also one of the only companies with a completely VOC-free paint line. Some manufacturers advertise their paint as VOC-free, but once you add tint, they no longer retain the VOC-free performance. Rodda has developed a completely VOC-free tint line, one of the first we have seen, making the Master Painter Zero one of the safest and cleanest products to use in a home.
As with any significant change, there is a learning curve to these things, our full-time paint specialists are doing a fantastic job at adapting and learning the new system, so we ask for a bit of patience while we finish the transition.
